Ninety Nine Years Leica
This 300-page book includes images of classic Leica cameras and photo products along with the stories behind some unforgettable images shot with Leica cameras including Alfred Eisenstaedt's iconic image of the sailor and the nurse kissing in Times Square at the end of World War II; and Nick Ut's harrowing Napalm Girl photo from the Vietnam War.
According to Leica, the new coffee-table-size book, which was written by Rainer Schillings under the creative direction of Ansgar Pudenz and Till Schaffarczyk, "sheds an emotional spotlight on 99 years of enthusiasm for a small camera developed by Oskar Barnack in 1913."
Other legendary Leica photographers covered in the book include Henri Cartier Bresson, Robert Capa and Elliott Erwitt.
Only 1,500 English-language copies of the book will be sold in North America.
